I privately tutored elementary and middle school students in all subject areas, but mainly in math and science. I assisted them with homework assignments, organizing their study schedule, and preparing for exams or quizzes. As well as communicating with my students and ensuring they understand their daily lessons, I also ensured that the parents were aware of their child's progress and in what direction they were heading in. After each session I was also responsible for generating a report based on what was accomplished that day that was available for students and parents to keep track of all our work.

I am working as a substitute teacher at a catholic school for grade levels ranging from pre-kinder to eighth grade. I am responsible for following the lesson plans left by the absent teacher and ensuring the safety of the students during the school day.

As a learning assistant at FIU I was responsible for helping science professors make their lectures more efficient. Science courses at FIU can have a hundred or more students being taught by a single professor so the learning assistants are there to ensure that all students are able to be attended too. I assisted professors in preparing for the weekly lecture, answering student questions during the lecture, grading student papers, and hosting office hours for students outside of the classroom. I volunteered as a learning assistant for tropical botany, general biology II, and microbiology.
