Aged care Physiotherapist working across both residential facilities and community services.

Aged care Physiotherapist. Mainly based in community services with some time in residential services. Majority of assessments and treatments based around muscle skeletal conditions that are common in the aged demographic such as arthritic changes, joint replacements, degenerative muscle tears. In residential services I developed a high level of knowledge relating to the Aged Care Funding Instrument and it's implementation to maximise funding for the facility allowing greater resident care provision.

Senior Physiotherapist in a community based team. Function of the team was to prevent uneccessry hospital admissions by providing intensive short term care and interventions to improve mobility or assess and transfer the patient to a rehabilitation setting when appropriate. Left this position due to moving to Australia for personal reasons.

Working as a junior physiotherapist completing hospital rotations. Developed foundation skills in cardio vascular respiratory (including amputees), musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy. Also worked on the on call roster for intensive care and the wards to see patients requiring chest physiotherapy.

initial 1 year contract working in the NHS as a new grad. Community healthcare services with 2 rotations. 1 rotation in inpatient rehabilitation and a further 5 months in a supported discharge home service.
