We provide support to customers seeking to improve their performance in delivering asset management through peer-to-peer consultancy and our portfolio of improvement products. We also support projects where Uniper is delivering a customer with their specific energy needs through a dedicated asset by ensuring your asset is operated and maintained to a world class standard.

Responsible for safe, commercial and environmental operation of two power stations and two pipelines in the areas of Engineering, Maintenance and Governance. Accountable for the delivery of multi-million pound maintenance and growth investments from financial decision, through implementation and in to performance optimisation. Focused on the development of strong competences both technically and in leadership to develop the culture of the team and achieve outstanding results.

Redesigned the maintenance and engineering organisation to meet new strategic goals, achieved through a staff consultation process. Managed my own team and others, between six and twelve people, as required by the business, delivering long term maintenance strategy and achieving class leading asset availability and reliability through effective maintenance. Acted as Engineering Manager including preparation of multi-year business plan that will maximise end-of-asset-life value. Managed delivery of asset life extensions, across multiple technologies to enable end-of-life business plan with technical credibility. Directly managed a £1.2M project for asset renewal over an eight week timescale, meeting all objectives and with zero injuries. Site manager for major overhauls, took a leading role in fleet-wide shutdown management group to drive additional value through initiative sharing. Re-set the standard for investigation by utilising and developing bespoke models that cut across the business to extract maximum value from learning opportunities. Led a project to ensure asset readiness for new product delivery, introduced innovative new practices across a 75 person business in a three week window that improved communication, prioritisation and project delivery against an EFQM Business Excellence model.

Developed and delivered reliability and maintenance processes to deliver improved plant technical performance and reduce unavailability losses using lean and Six Sigma techniques. This was achieved both independently and leading experienced engineers in working groups. I introduced new processes for the planning and scheduling of maintenance activity, investigation and analysis of operational losses (feeding in to maintenance strategy and risk management) and the analysis and effective communication of KPIs. In order to deliver these I developed management standards and analytical programs that are powerful improvement tools. Member of the steering group and leadership team for the Zero Harm safety programme at Grain. Responsible for organising project strategy and rollout. I am an organisational coach and steered the group to ensure alignment with business strategy while enacting major culture change benefiting safety as well as other business processes.

Managed the population of maintenance data in to maintenance systems with optimum resource use and ensuring data quality through quality control and poka yoke techniques. Project lead for asset compliance against engineering standards, developing the process to find best practice solutions for use across the business. Team lead for an organisational structure project that analysed business requirements and developed a team structure that has delivered efficiently against these goals. Key member of a project analysing maintenance maturity across the UK fleet, developing improvements goals for sustainable maintenance improvement.

Participant in the Engineering Leadership Graduate Scheme for E.ON UK. Undertook placements at a 2000MW Coal plant, 425MW CCGT plant, 1000MW Coal plant and 1320MW HFO plant. Gained a broad knowledge of power plant operation and maintenance through ownership and delivery of projects including performance analysis, technical diagnosis, equipment installation and outage/shutdown management. Placement at E.ON SE corporate centre in Düsseldorf in the team responsible for the engineering due diligence of investment in development of new projects.
