Michael Rainey is a former active duty service officer in the United States Army and current President of Michael Rainey and Associates. He is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in decision strategy and decision science, data analytics, and geospatial analysis. Each underpinned by a strong academic and military background.His last duty position in the Army was to serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Systems Engineering at the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY. While on faculty, his research extended into systems engineering design and project management, decision science, decision strategy and the design and development of analytics to support leaders in making the highest quality decisions when faced with uncertain and combative environments. Since that time, Mr. Rainey honed these skills while supporting US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), US Cyber Command, multiple Fire and Emergency Management Services agencies, and innovative, emerging for-profit corporations.As President and Lead Decision Scientist at Michael Rainey and Associates, Mr. Rainey stands shoulder to shoulder with leaders, so they make better decisions on the problems 'keeping them up at night'.
