Currently the First Shift Assistant Operations Manager in charge of Safety, Receiving, Value Added Areas, Training, and Outbound Shipments for Barrett Distribution Centers 3PL operations. These functions are in support of our Customer Yazaki in their largest distribution center in their network supporting their biggest customer Toyota Manufacturing. These areas are staffed with direct reports of six supervisors and 106 hourly associates in this 300,000 square foot center.

Operations Supervisor in charge of monitoring daily production rates for repacking 26 part numbers to maintain three days inventory on hand. I continue to personally develop and employ the site’s training and evaluation program. This ensures 180+ associates receive effective quarterly training. SAP is utilized for warehouse management, order processing, and daily transactions. Strategizing goals and problem solving skills increase awareness and resolutions are put in place. I manage 20+ associates in Kronos daily with ultimate authority to decide who is a part of my team.

Orchestrated 25 centralized training and development programs for 110 supply chain and logistics personnel. Coordinated scheduling, staffing, equipment shortfalls, and execution of events aligned within strict timelines and $2.5M annual budget. While effectively outsourcing external resources while identifiying internal trainers to deliver instruction on job-specific tasks, including supply administration, Oracle database management, warehousing locations, process refinement, and requisitioning procedures.

Mentored, guided, scheduled, and certified faculty advisors in critical thinking, administration, leadership, and warfighting doctrine Evaluated instructor performance and coordinated timely submission of course grades. Taught and mentored 560 students annually, while crusaded for improvements to academic curriculum and submitted discrepancy correction requests leading to 61% improvement to all evaluations for advanced studies curriculum. Created programs of instruction that reduced multiple assessments and fine-tuned functional areas to better support higher-quality learning atmospheres for the students. While training and mentored academic peer groups in the most efficient and effective transfer of knowledge, while leading to all 9 faculty advisors achieving certifications in all 60+ courses of instruction.

Managed, tracked, and maintained a fleet of 89 government vehicles and 32 facilities spread over 150,000 miles, with oversight of $326K operating and advertising budget. Supervised supply operations, ground safety, and travel system programs. With consistent reporting of the fiscal posture to leadership, with maintaining fiscal accounting records, approved all financial transactions, and tracked credit card purchases within budgetary constraints.

In support of Operation Enduring Freedom, coordinated logistics for 16 different locations and 10 subordinate units covering 250K square kilometers. While eliminated historical friction point in supply chain network by reconciling monthly property books, freeing up leadership to remain operationally focused and contributed directly to success of unit during critical operations in areas such as requistioning.
