Lead digital hardware engineer and FPGA digital logic system designer within my assigned product group. I work closely with other firmware engineers whose designs interact with the digital logic designs I develop. I also work closely with analog engineers whose hardware designs are controlled and managed by the digital logic designs I develop. All levels are tightly integrated then controlled and managed by software at the customer interface.I am responsible for developing, maintaining, bug fixing, and documentation of the high-speed digital designs and hybrid digital-analog control systems created for the various products we brought from conception to production. I work with test engineers and production engineers and technicians to help define test procedures and production methods to aid rapid manufacturing.

During this three month internship with Lockheed-Martin, I qualified for a temporary Secret level security clearance in order to work with the Flight Simulator group based in Lockheed's Akron, OH facility.I was responsible for completing and maintaining wiring harness diagrams created in MS Visio that documented the hundreds of signals passing between equipment racks and the flight simulator cockpit itself, which then connected to all of the cockpit controls and avionics packages.These signals were also maintained in an MS Access database that linked signals to variable names used by the software group working on the simulation software for the four-cockpit simulator.I worked closely everyday with my immediate superior on solving problems with procurement of cockpit controls and the means to control/interact with them using digital/analog I/O equipment in the equipment racks outside of the cockpit.

I served with Itron's Minneapolis area locations as a Co-op during my last two years of undergraduate work at The University of Akron. In particular, I served on the 900MHz Electric team responsible for fixing any issues with product currently in production.
