A construction professional with over 20 years’ experience managing all aspects of the construction cycle. I have worked in business development/ marketing, all aspects of project delivery from design management, construction management and general management of multiple construction divisions. A complete overview of the construction process enables me to make informed decisions that will ultimately lead to successful outcomes.People are at the forefront of everything we do and a collaborative and approachable manner ensures strong relationships with clients, consultants, staff, subcontractors and suppliers. I am passionate about leading, training and mentoring staff to allow them to progress and have successful careers within Cockram.I’ve had the opportunity to work across Australia, delivering projects in all states and territories including remotely in North West Australia, the Nullarbor and remote Tasmania. My international experience has seen me work on diverse projects including three years working in Puerto Rico in the Caribbean.I’ve been fortunate to have worked on a variety of projects ranging from international pharmaceutical projects, large retail facilities to education, health and research facilities. Projects have predominantly been service complex with challenging design and construction aspects. Most recently, I have been responsible for the strategic business direction and growth of the Icon NSW, ACT & Barpa divisions. Overseeing the responsibility for the performance of project teams, ensuring a quality result is delivered in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner. Barpa Construction Services is a majority owned indigenous construction business looking to work with the federal government in “closing the gap” between non-Indigenous and Indigenous Australians. Over the past 7 years we have been able to grow the business into a company that now employs over 65 and operates Australian wide building and developing in multiple sectors. Enabling Barpa to provide opportunities to all Australians, in particular Indigenous Australians, to create successful careers in the construction industry.
