As Operations Manager for Ochs Site Services I was responsible for seeing all projects through after the sale, and assignment of subcontracts to delivery of the project file for billing. Ochs is a project management firm performing approximately 5 million dollars in site work per year. I studied contract documents and drawings; previewed the site, and initiated any necessary change orders; developed sequence of events, durations and subcontractors’ schedules; reviewed subcontractors’ work for quantity and quality; and approved subcontractors’ invoices upon completion. It was common for Ochs to have as many as 15 projects open at any time in various stages.
