My main focus is to develop and maintain effective educational programs within at Sapulpa Middle School and to promote the improvement of teaching and learning with the school. I strive to create an organization and or climate which fosters student and teacher growth.In fulfilling this role the Principal I work under the supervision of Kevin Burr, the Superintendent of Schools and within the provisions of the Public Schools Act, the Department of Education and Training regulations, and Board Policy.My duties as Principal are all encompassing as all aspects of the schools operations are either directly or indirectly under my jurisdiction. In general terms of the Principal I am responsible for: (a) the detailed organization of the school; (b) the development of the instructional program; (c) the assignment of duties to and the supervision of members of his staff and: (d) the general operation of the school facility.

Efficiently establish direction for the Academic Performance Index and Adequate Yearly Progress accountability system, which includes hiring and supervising a quality staff, for continuously evaluating and improving the accountability system in accordance with state law and agency practice, attending the statewide accountability system conferences on various topics related to the accountability system, and working with advisory committees and technical consultants to improve the quality of the statewide accountability system.

Worked with Oklahoma's teachers and policy makers to create, edit, and administer the Oklahoma Core Curriculum Tests.

Duties include - Implementing the state-mandated Academic Performance Index (API) in accordance with state law - Implementing the federally-mandated single, statewide accountability system for all schools in Oklahoma, referred to as Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP)Assessment SpecialistDuties include - Planning, organizing, analyzing, and coordinating all student testing programs as needed in the public schools of Oklahoma
