Global Peace Operations Initiative regional programs manager in the South Central Asia (SCA) and the East Asia Pacific (EAP) Bureaus in coordination with USINDOPACOM.

Develops, implements, manages, and executes Security Cooperation policies for the Maritime Security Initiative (MSI), on behalf of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Security Cooperation (DASD-SC). Serves as the focal point for financial management, program oversight, legal issues, performance management, performance measurement, information management, process improvement, policy and strategy, and weapon/platform technology, program management and building partner capacity programs within MSI. Under section 1263, MSI authorizes funds for assistance and training for the purpose of increasing maritime security and maritime domain awareness of countries along the South China Sea – Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Specifically authorized elements of assistance for these countries include equipment, supplies, training and small-scale military construction. Develops and prepares reports, point papers, programmatic statements and recommendations, coordinates and develops legislative proposals and strategies for the annual Congressional authorization and appropriations process which is approximately $100M annually. Serves as the focal point for planning, guiding, developing, monitoring, coordinating and recommending Department of Defense training and oversees the progress of operations and equipment support on behalf of the geographic combatant command, the component command, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), Office of the Secretary of Defense-Policy, and the embassy country teams. Additionally, serves as the USINDOPACOM Desk officer at DASD-SC and oversees the development of fiscal year 333 proposals (Authority to Build Capacity of Foreign Security Forces) for the geographic combatant command and implemented the Security Cooperation Reforms Initiative with the implementation of the Significant Security Cooperation Initiatives (SSCI) and the Initiative Design Document(IDD).

Serves as Assistant Professor of South Asia National Strategy at the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies, National Defense University. The NESA Center, co-sponsored by the U.S. Central Command and the Department of State, is the senior US military education institution dealing with the study of national security strategy and military professional strategy. As a military professor of practice, incumbent anticipates in the planning, development and conducts programs for officers, Foreign Service officers, and other civilian officials. The NESA Center future high level command and staff responsibilities through study and research in the formulation and implementation of national security policy and strategy.

Served as the SDO/DATT to the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and was the principal military adviser to the U.S. Ambassador. Represented the Department of Defense, United States Pacific Command, and the Army to the inter-agency Embassy Country Team, foreign military attaches and host-nation leadership. Led, trained and mentored a joint, inter-agency team consisting of U.S. service members and local nationals that implemented U.S. national policy, executed security cooperation in excess of $240M and answered information requirements in the 3rd largest Muslim-majority country and 7th most populous country globally. Collaborated at all levels within the Department of Defense and inter-agency to include the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Defense Intelligence Agency, USPACOM (and all service components), Department of State and the Department of Justice. Recommended, facilitated and monitored U.S. military training and exercises in Bangladesh. Provided immediate situational awareness to the National Command Authority and USPACOM.
