Following the carve-out of Mallinckrodt Baker from Covidien, and its becoming a stand-alone company re-named Avantor Performance Materials, I was hired to create a global legal and compliance function. Supported by a small but highly efficient legal team based in the United States, India and Poland, was responsible for corporate governance; compliance; environmental; building an internal culture of compliance and ethics; and for providing legal and strategic support and insight to Avantor's leadership, commercial and operations groups. Was asked to take on the role of Chief Compliance and Risk Officer and SVP, Law, and to also lead global Environmental Health, Safety and Security, following Avantor's merger with NuSil Technology, LLC in October 2016.
