I started my 4 year apprenticeship at Rosyth Dockyard as a Joiner in 1989 and worked mostly on Royal Navy Ships and Submarines carrying out refitting work. I attended technical college for 8 years working my way through Advanced Craft to HNC/HND level in Construction to then progress to Degree level in Building Surveying at Reading University College of Estate Management.I left Rosyth Dockyard after 16 years and started my own company carrying out small construction projects. I then progressed into Property Developing which involved buying, renovating and selling for profit. Since 2005 I have built up a large portfolio of property which includes serviced accomodation and residential family homes. I rent out and I also manage other people's portfolio's who live outwith Scotland offering the full management service which includes tenant finding. I have a very "hands on" approach arranging all repairs and maintenance/tenant disputes and all certification involved in renting property. I am the first point of contact for both the tenant and investor.I am a Gas Safe Registered Engineer and professional builder and I can undertake the most challenging of projects from plans to completion organising all trades and liasing with both client and design team. I am a problem solver who seeks solutions with a positive approach. All projects are overseen and managed by myself with attention to detail.I also own commercial property. one is a Guesthouse that is currently number 1 on tripadvisor and also a Hair and Beauty Salon.
