Mike is the majority stockholder of Jack Cooper Investments, Inc. (“Jack Cooper"), a finished vehicle logistics and auto hauling trucking company. Jack Cooper has TWICE won a "Global Supplier of the Year" award from General Motors, competing against every supplier in GM's worldwide base of almost 25,000 suppliers. It has also won the Toyota Presidents Award twice. In 2014 Jack Cooper won the coveted top honor "World Excellence Award" from Ford Motor. Jack Cooper has approximately 2,500 employees in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Mike earned an MBA from Harvard in 1979 and began his career with General Motors. However, since 1991, Mike has served as CEO of several vehicle transport and logistics companies: Hook Up Transport; Automotive Carrier Services; JHT Holdings; Active Car Haul; and Jack Cooper. Mike has been on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the American Trucking Association, and Chairman of the Auto Carriers Conference. In 2013 Mike won the Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year Award" for the Midwest Region. In 2015 Mike won the "Global Outstanding Achievement Award", a global award given to him in London from Automotive Supply Chain Magazine. Mike has been married to Teri for over 45 years and has three daughters and six grandchildren.
