Products for the OR include the Quantum Perfusion System, and Quantum Heater Cooler, as well as non invasive patient monitoring platforms for cardiac surgery based on the Quantum Perfusion System. ECT includes perfusion systems, cannula, bio-coatings, cell saver/autotransfusion, anticoagulation management, and products designed and indicated for long term extracorporeal support (ECLS/ECMO). Responsibilities include regional P&L and Annual Operating Plan management for the business, regional strategic plan development for new product roll out, tactical market implementation of strategic initiatives from strategic business unit, managing local business partnerships as stocking distributor (Spectrum Medical), supply chain management/forecasting/inventory, and relationship development with key opinion leaders in the field. Product management for multiple product lines with annual worth >100 million Euro across 3 principal product lines.Group responsibility includes managing the team of product managers, health technology assessment, clinical therapy specialists / educational specialists for new therapies and therapy awareness, as well as office marketing management team. 15+ direct indirect reports at the regional and country level.Current additional project responsibilities also include biological coating product life cycle planning, vertical integration of manufacturing technology, and implementation of new regulations (MDR).

Responsibilities include strategy development for new product roll out, tactical market implementation of strategic initiatives from strategic business unit, supply chain management and forecasting, and relationship development with key opinion leaders in the field. Group responsibility includes managing a team of clinical therapy specialists / educational specialists for new therapies and therapy awareness, as well as office marketing management team.

Product Manager for Cardiovascular Technology in Europe including all oxygenation systems, autotransfusion, anticoagulation management and cannula portfolio. Provide direct marketing support to the field marketing organizations in all countries in Europe, with an additional specific clinical support focus on Italy and UK.

Based in Europe, the position involved:- Local sales and marketing in Italy;- Management of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) in Italian Market;- Marketing function in rest of Europe;- Assistance with development of paths to reimbursement by national health service for new technology, country by country;- providing R&D engineering support for future product platforms;- Local clinical support/assistance as required.

While in R&D developed new products including a low cost, biocompatable cardioplegia delivery system for cardiac surgery. Provided engineering support across all oxygenator, blood heat exchanger and reservoir product lines as needed.Also co-developed the Sorin/Dideco miniaturized cardiopulmonary bypass systems and became product manager for Sorin Group mini bypass systems from 2002 to 2006. Managed product launch internationally as well as clinical studies that defined the efficacy, cost effectiveness and clinical benefits of the mini bypass approach to extracorporeal circulation. Worked with sales group in the field to introduce the product clinically, set up clinical training programs, provide hands-on training in the operating theatre while setting up geography specific pricing programs country by country throughout Europe, North America and Rest of World (ROW) geographies.

Production and engineering support on oxygenator production line and cardioplegia heat exchanger line. Began R&D/concept development of next generation, low cost, high performance cardioplegia heat exchanger that was eventually brought to market at affiliate company in Italy (Dideco SpA).

Product Development Engineer for Cardiopulmonary R&D dept then based in Anaheim, CA. Responsibilities included:- Development and market launch of Maxima Forte' Hardshell Venous Reservoir;- Engineering support on development of above said oxygenator and heat exchanger;- production support of Maxima Oxygenator product line;- management of mechanical engineering laboratory (5 technicians).

engineer on software development for prototype satellite network control station. Other responsibilities included development of network installation business sub unit and Local Area Network support to offices in Lancaster, San Diego, and Laguna Hills, CA.

Served my engineering internship at Shiley, Inc in the summer of 1990 and from Jan 1991 to September 1991. Responsibilities included engineering support on new mfg equipment for Plexus Oxygenator and development of soft shell venous reservoir bag from R&D through FDA approval and market launch/commercialization.
