My role as a Principal Research Associate (Research Professor) at the University of Cambridge involves advancing mathematical techniques for high-dimensional data analysis, where I'm at the forefront of integrating machine learning into our methodologies. I have led and been hands-on in the development of several regulated pieces of software as a medical device through ISO compliance and QMS documentation. I also provide consultancy to a range of companies in the medical and non-medical domains, enjoying problem solving across a range of disciplines. I utilise high performance and high throughput infrastructure, through local clusters/AWS/GCP, designing software that is optimised for requirements.In addition, our team's mission includes tackling the misuse of AI methods and enhancing reproducibility of tools. The past years have seen us secure >£4M in grants, enabling significant progress in data-driven discovery.Leading two research groups and managing consortia, we've cultivated a rich environment for PhD students and postdocs to thrive under my supervision. Collaboratively, I've extended our impact beyond academia, assisting industrial partners in deploying AI solutions effectively in diverse settings. This symbiotic relationship between research and practical application defines my approach, ensuring that theoretical advancements are grounded in real-world utility.
