Lead Network Infrastructure engineer for future virtualized technical insertions for the DoD by providing expertise for network design, prototyping, and testing of cutting-edge technologies. Responsibilities:- Design and test future infrastructure configurations to enhance systems and services for military operations utilizing hardware/software components including, but not limited to, Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, Cisco CSR virtual appliance, VMware vSphere 7.0, VMware VCF 4.0, VMware NSX-T 3.0+, Ansible, Amazon Web Services, RHEL 7.0, Windows 10, Dell PowerEdge Servers, Intel Haswell, Broadwell and Skylake processors.- Design and implement HCI and HCN environments utilizing Dell PowerEdge Servers, Cisco Switches with 100Gb network backbone, along with VMware vSphere/vSAN/NSX-T backed environment.- Install and configure Software Defined Network utilizing VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.0 and above- Design, configure and maintain VMware vSphere 7.0 and VCF 4.0 in classified and unclassified environments simultaneously.- Design and automate deployment of virtualized production environments utilizing Ansible scripts along with Jenkins front-end application.- Provide systems and infrastructure support for multiple warfare platform systems for sites around the country- Research and design network solutions that will replace devices that are Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS)- Configure Cisco switches utilizing vPC, Spanning tree, unicast, multicast, RIPv2, OSPF, and EIGRP- Test network throughput utilizing devices that include, but not limited to, Wireshark and Spirent network emulator- Provide documentation for network designs and architecture, test plans and procedures for multiple program builds and programmatic applications. Documents include Port Allocation Assignment (PAA) spreadsheets, network topology diagrams, and procedures for a multitude of deployments- Work with Amazon Web Services to accommodate customer cloud virtual environments.
