I led the design and deployment of fiber optic networks for Vocus, a publicly traded telecommunications provider, focusing on client-driven projects. My responsibilities included managing the entire deployment process, from taking signed contracts from the sales team to overseeing construction and installation. Collaborating closely with contractors, I coordinated civil construction activities such as boring, trenching, and asset modifications to ensure seamless delivery of fiber connectivity to client premises.I successfully delivered high-security projects for prominent clients, including Victoria Police and major financial institutions, adhering to strict security protocols. My role also involved facilitating the handoff of high-speed connectivity solutions, such as dark fiber and Ethernet services up to 10Gbps, integrated with Vocus-supplied network termination units. I managed all project documentation, maintained clear communication with clients and end users, and effectively oversaw project workflows using ServiceNow while having access to all major data centers in Melbourne.In addition, I handled internal network designs and managed the Land Access Notice legal notification process in compliance with Australia’s Telecommunications Act. This included addressing instances where building owners sought license fees, ensuring adherence to legal frameworks to avoid unnecessary payments. By emphasizing the benefits of Vocus’s presence in the building, I enabled tenants to access cost-effective, high-speed corporate-grade internet, driving broader connectivity and value.
