My career has centered around building and preserving affordable housing across the southeastern US. I have experience financing and investing in housing creation through the use of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program as well as overseeing the origination, development, and construction of housing in a wide variety of markets and across product types. I have developed Transit-Oriented housing with structured parking and mixed-use commercial space, master-planned communities with rental and for-sale homes, and rehabilitated existing apartment communities to maintain affordability. I have a passion for ensuring that high-quality housing is available and accessible for our communities and strive to incorporate best practices into the design and construction of the developments we pursue.Prior to my experience in housing, I managed a legislative office in the Virginia General Assembly and ran the communications office for successful election campaigns. I have served on the Board of Directors for the Durham Food Co-op and Reinvestment Partners, on the Planning Commission for the Town of Carrboro, and on the Affordable Housing Council of Duke University. I also coach little league baseball for Bull City Little League.
