I am an Iowa State University Alumni with a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management. Since 2017 I have been the primary lighting buyer at Steiner Electric in Elk Grove Village, IL.The most important lesson that I have learned in my experience as a buyer has been that when it comes to the unpredictable nature of the electrical industry, communication and compromise will dictate those who succeed from those who fail. My ability to form impactful, supportive relationships with vendors and coworkers has allowed me to become a dependable and valued team member within the purchasing department. During my academic career at Iowa State, my courses have included principles of procurement, demand and inventory planning, and principles of transportation. I was also a member of both the supply chain management club and the supply chain case competition team, where I was able to utilize my supply chain knowledge to deliver upscale presentations to various boards of directors of leading companies.
