Many companies excel in their fields, yet catastrophic events from helicopter crashes, airplane disasters, building collapses, errant police stops, to name a few, still occur, threatening the survival and integrity of the entity. Are these events inevitable, or can they be predicted and prevented? My expertise lies in catastrophic risk identification, resource allocation, and action to safeguard against these threats.

I taught two statistics courses each semester, but developed unique lesson plans incorporating decision theory, artificial intelligence, the presentation of information, control charts, etc., in addition to "How to Understand a Topic Rapidly", and "How to Write a 4-Page Research Paper in 5 Minutes"!The courses incorporated ideas from Eli Goldratt, Edwards Deming, Edward Tufte, Nassim Taleb, and many others!Additionally, I coordinate the high-school / college digital programming math dual credit program between 15 Missouri high school classes and UMKC.

In addition to developing a unique ACT-test-prep program focusing on 2-key elements in each section to achieve massive improvement immediately, I also tutor in every subject to any age level. How (since I don't know a lot in every subject)? I apply the same processes to myself!

WORK EXPERIENCE CROSSING SPECIFIC PROJECTS:Specific work experiences essential in the above projects [and all other projects not listed] are as follows:1. System Description: the incorporation of conceptual & operational definitions as a necessity in defining the system under consideration.2. Model Creation: the abstraction & integration of the essential elements appropriate to the definition of the system under consideration.3. Simulation & Explanation: the incorporation of variability and random events into the model allows for repeated trials - aiding in the understanding of the model relative to the system - in addition to being an invaluable aid in explaining work to others.4. Quality & Process Improvement: the incorporation of the Deming and Shewhart quality philosophies, and Goldratt’s Theory of Constraints to aid in all of the above.5. Design / Presentation: proper ideas need be properly communicated; otherwise, they are as valuable as improper ideas.These five elements I summarize in the logo below . . . my logo. Most systems under evaluation exist in an informal state of chaos / disorder: “Order from Disorder” is the first element I seek. Once order has been achieved, System Stability is my second requirement. Given the presence of Order and Stability, real improvement can be achieved. Order and Stability I refer to as the foundations of a RATIONAL SYSTEM.

I write my own book about that book, which allows me to understand the book unbelievably well unbelievably fast! Other initiatives: how to write a haiku, how to ace the ACT, how to Speak a foreign language, and many more!The key to everything is in one thought: the mind is like an assembly line. When an assembly line is working fine, it's a well-oiled machine. So too with the mind. But when the line breaks down, things pile up. Inventory. The same with the mind: miscellaneous and disconnected items flooding the brain, preventing real throughput. No more!

• Served as Lead Actuary for the Missouri State and Federal High-Risk pools. Job responsibilities included:• conducting annual rate surveys and rate revisions;• calculating annual risk assessments charged to Missouri insurance carriers;• presenting written and spoken reports to the Board of Directors and the DOI.• Served as Lead Actuary and Underwriter for a small Missouri insurance company. Job responsibilities included:• overseeing and performing underwriting for individual health block of business;• calculating ongoing claim reserves and annual DOI certification, ensuring regulatory compliance;• ensuring and certifying small employer compliance with DOI.• Completed many ad-hoc jobs projects for various clients. Examples included:• developing a buy-out simulation allowing a company to best answer “How much should we pay employees to opt out of their health plan?”;• performing Medicare Part D subsidy eligibility certification and eventual annual subsidy analysis;• providing actuarial support to TPA-clients, including reserve calculations, funding levels, and COBRA rates;• developing a reinsurance risk portfolio simulation that allowed clients to examine different specific and aggregate levels, the corresponding premiums for each, while seeing the amounts and probabilities of possible risk exposure.

As TOCFE Director for the USA, I developed unique educational materials, including "Little Logic Books", and gave presentations on four continents to popularize TOC and Eli Goldratt's theories of system improvement.
