My name is Miltiadis Michael Rousvanis, thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I am a mature age student studying medical imaging. I chose this degree in no small part, as I am an empathetic person with a passion for patient care and emerging technology, and felt this career path would tick all the boxes. I am currently employed at Benson Radiology as a CT assistant and have found this enriching experience. I find it rewarding when I can put a patient at ease enabling them to complete the scan and therefore allowing for a better diagnosis. My responsibilities include: • Correctly identifying patients• Ensuring referrals are current and valid• Completing IV contrast questionnaires with the patient• Cannulating patients• Positioning patients• Communicating with CT radiographers about any concerns from patients or contrast safety concerns• Liaising with other departments regarding patients who are having multiple examinations across varying modalitiesMy future goals include further training in x-ray and other modalities. However, I am ambitious and curious about where my degree and training may take me. I am happy to explore working and mentoring future students or taking on management roles. I am open to further academia that can support or advance my career. I am excited and open to my future career and happy to be contacted about any career opportunities.
