Michael Roy PhD is Professor of Social Innovation and Sustainable Organisations at Stirling Management School, University of Stirling, UK. His research falls roughly into three areas: the health and well-being impacts of social enterprises; social economy ecosystems; and innovative and controversial policy instruments such as Social Impact Bonds. He is Editor in Chief of Social Enterprise Journal, Associate Editor of Journal of Social Entrepreneurship, and on the editorial board of several other international journals.In 2022 Michael was elected Chair of the Development Trust Association (Scotland).
