I am accountable for the roadmap development for teams building the Microservices Platform, day to day activities operating and supporting the platform, and handling the 24x7 oncall rotations. • Lead multiple scrum teams using Agile methodology using exclusively Atlassian products Confluence and JIRA which ensures steady improvement across a large geographically diverse group. Teams are located in US, UK, Czech Republic, India, and New Zealand. • Duties include performance reviews, hiring of new talent including fulltime and cooperative education students, dealing with interpersonal relationships within the group, providing hardware/software requirements for engineers to perform their duties, and advocating and coaching of engineers within the team to help guide them through their careers for advancement.• Acting System Owner for the development agile scrum teams developing within the Microservices Cloud Platform Team. This entails overseeing a product owner who creates epics and user stories based on feature requests that come from our partners within Oracle who run on our platform or from within our team for hardening or non-feature level work. Currently serving as a functional manager for one of the Cloud Platform Development teams as well as a Product Owner for a scrum team within the Microservices Cloud Platform organization. Main focus was on implementing a VxWorks DHCP client on our proprietary system containing two Ethernet ports, as well as providing a means to send TCP data out of our system to the monitoring/billing system from cards without Ethernet connectivity. Project required skills such as using logic analyzers, working with cross-functional team, and working with 3rd party software vendors. Work resulted in a patent being awarded to the company for a proprietary routing protocol that was developed for the project.
