Aetion is a healthcare data/analytics company. During my tenure as CEO, I have 'bootstrapped' Aetion to become world-leader in the automated generation of regulatory-grade real-world evidence (RWE); and, as a result, become the key strategic enabler for some of the biggest shifts in healthcare such as the creation of next-generation Pharma Development models that bring new medicines to the world much faster than today and the realization of value-based care at scale.Specifically, my contributions included: (i) Setting the business strategy and product vision; (ii) building the required organization, product development and go-to-market operations as well as the integrated business/tech-teams to run them; and (iii) rapidly generating commercial momentum. As a result of an early wave of significant customer contracts and highly-efficient use of capital, Aetion became a cash flow-positive commercial-stage company with more than 60 employees under my leadership.

Strategy& has emerged from Booz & Company, which itself is the result of the separation of Booz Allen Hamilton's commercial and government businesses. At the time of the separation in 2008, Booz Allen Hamilton was one of the most prestigious business consulting firms in the world and unique in its close integration of business and technology.During my decade-long tenure as a Partner in the Healthcare Practice at Booz, I was specialized on life-cycle transformation programs for the major Pharmaceutical companies. My work ranged from organic capability-building and growth programs through to M&A-transactions and the associated post-merger integrations (PMIs); including work pioneering a new model for Pharmaceutical companies to engage with their customers (providers, payers) that is based on the foundational shift from 'detailing to health care providers (HCPs)' towards 'enabling HCPs'.

Cardion is a genomics-based company. During my tenure as CEO, I have developed Cardion from a research-based start-up into a development-stage company of 60 employees and a pioneer in 21st-century gene and cell therapies. Specifically, my contributions included: (i) Shaping clinical development programs and associated FDA strategies for innovative gene- and cell-based cardiovascular and immunotherapeutic medicines; (ii) building the required organization, operations, and (virtual) teams to deliver these programs; and (iii) acquiring two US-based tech companies to strengthen the capability foundation and strategically expand the portfolio.Cardion was among the first five companies in the world to bring a gene therapy into clinical development. As a result of this breakthrough, Cardion was able to raise more than $25M capital under my leadership.
