As a Mapping and Design Technician at Douglas Fast Net, I designed, researched, and managed fiber optic projects for various clients and purposes, including fiber to the home, cell tower work flows, and easement acquisition. I used tools such as Mapwise, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Access to create and update staking and GIS layers, communicate with outside crew, and fill out permitting sheets.I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Southern Oregon University, where I learned how to code in C and Java, use Adobe Photoshop, and compile a project for my Senior Capstone Project. I also competed in Shotput and Discus, demonstrating my athletic and academic abilities. I have over 7 years of experience in the fiber optic industry, starting as an Installer and then moving to a Surveyor, where I learned how to install, splice, and survey fiber optic lines, following the NISC code and make ready calculations. I am passionate about delivering high-quality and cost-effective solutions for fiber optic deployment, leveraging my technical skills, creativity, and teamwork.
