FeNix Ash focuses on processing incinerator ash from Waste-To-Energy (WTE) power plants. Rather than burning coal or natural gas to generate electricity, these facilities burn household garbage. FeNix’s patented ash processing system extracts the hazardous elements from the ash and transforms the entire waste stream into beneficial use products. Key accomplishments include:Patented a process capable of extracting heavy metals from incinerated household waste, rendering the ash inert and safe for beneficial use applications.Obtained an exclusive encapsulation technology licensing agreement with a leading University. Negotiated a five-year exclusive service provider agreement with Los Angeles County- the largest county in the US, to process their incinerated waste.Funded and built a processing plant through a combination venture capital and debt financing.Oversaw facility operation for a plant operating 24x7x365.Recovered, marketed, and sold millions of pounds of metals that otherwise would have been lost to landfills.Oversaw all financial and compliance matters.

Western Metals Recycling LLC (WMR) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nucor Steel, the largest steel manufacturer and recycler in the United States with annual revenues exceeding $20 billion. Western Metals conducts business in all western states. Key accomplishments include:Strategic team leader responsible for transitioning WMR from a mid-level performer to the most profitable company of six sister companies under the Nucor umbrella for five years running.
