Leading a $934,551, three-year Administration for Community Living demonstration grant, Dementia Capable Maine, to provide supportive services for persons with Alzheimer's Dementia and Related Dementia (ADRD) and their caregivers and to expand dementia capability through training and increased collaboration between community partners and health systems across a seven county service area in Western and Eastern Maine. A few of the key tasks include:Developing and adapting evidence-based interventions.Developing and delivering training to professional staff and caregivers.Managing subcontractors, grant deliverables and fiscal reports.Additional responsibilities include streamlining the Alzheimer's Respite Program for caregivers and their care recipients in a three-county area of rural Western Maine.

Transformed the newest municipal department from underperforming into an integrated professional and efficient department that leads the way with public safety and health innovations. Combined public service programs from different departments into a unified department with a broad scope of public health and safety. This included responsibility for all rental property, new building construction, business licensing, zoning, and recreational cannabis. The overarching philosophy was voluntary compliance through education and enforcement. Grew revenue and ROI each year. Managed annual revenue budget of $5 million.

Transformed food service inspection program into a professional, efficient and accomplished program by enhancing the transparency, accountability and accessibility of public health data and services.Applied inspection and disease trend data to identify opportunities for best practice public health interventions to improve health outcomes and enhance efficiency. Provided leadership for the first Community Action for a Renewed Environment grant in Maine by the Environmental Protection Agency. An environmental justice initiative working with Somali and Sudanese refugee populations in public housing.Facilitated the development of pandemic influenza plans for Portland and Cumberland County.Developed the only regional Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) program in Maine to protect residents in response to a biological emergency event.
