A variety of Senior Solicitor Roles some locum, some temporary, all involving stepping into the breach at short notice to provide decisive cover. In a more recent case a 3 months assignment to provide cover for the work of a retiring senior partner extended to 32 months and resulted in the revamping of a niche commercial property department.

I set up in practice in 1984 building on experience gained initially at University at Oxford, then in France at Nancy in French, subsequently at the Council of Europe / Commission of Human Rights, later at the European Commission (DGIV Competition), in commercial articles under the senior litigation partner at the then Pinsent & Co Birmingham and working as an Assistant Solicitor in Common Law under Marie Tinker at Baxter Caulfield Solicitors in Huddersfield and at Levison &Williams Wakefield Between 1984 and 2002 I conducted large volumes of Personal Injury Conveyancing Family and Criminal cases and also general civil litigation. I was a Duty Solicitor at the inception of the scheme at Wakefield Magistrates between 1983-1984 and at Hyndburn Magistrates between 1984 and 2000.I was a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel from 1999 to 2009 and of the Law Society Family Panel from 1999 to 2004.My caseload in the 1990s was a combination of Personal Injury, Commercial / Residential Property Family Law and Criminal Law matters. From 2002 to date I have concentrated on Commercial / Residential property and PI matters in my own practice until 2009 and thereafter in various locum roles
