• AC and DC Power Generation and Distribution • Electrical distribution systems • Commissioning/maintaining of battery and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems• Circuit protection devices• Generators / Compressors• A.C / D.C electric motors• Lighting equipment • Heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems• Commissioning of Electrical Plant and Equipment• Testing of cables and equipment• Work from drawings (unsupervised)• Work to recognised standards/procedures/codes of practice• Atex Inspections (Close, Visual and Detailed)• Fault finding and rectification of electrical systems.• LV Personal Isolations• Current Injection Testing of Electrical Protection Equipment• Able to work in a safe manner and pay due respect to the safety of others and the integrity of the installation.• Deliver a high quality, consistent and competent trade construction service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures.• Understanding of Transformers and chokes• Able to use Electrical hand tools• Understanding of Electrical distribution systems, Battery & uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, Circuit protection devices, Generators, A.C. electric motors, D.C. electric motors, Lighting equipment, Heating, ventilation & air conditioning systems, High voltage equipment and Testing of cables and equipment.• Able to work from drawings (unsupervised)• Able to work to recognised standards / procedures / codes of practice• Efficient at fault diagnosis and rectification using initiative• Understanding of Protection methods of electrical equipment in hazardous areas• Reading and interpreting schematic and loop drawings (unsupervised)
