Current• Promoted into the role of Physical Security Specialist in the District of Colorado Judicial Security Unit where I manage and ensure the safety and security of 7 federal courts and 31 federal judges throughout the state.• Awarded three monetary performance awards over two years, for outstanding performance.• Obtained equipment and became certified as the district’s PIV Registrar, and Activator, saving personnel time and money from traveling an hour away to the next nearest facility.• Certified as FAC-COR-I, participating in a $400k court security upgrade project, $300,000 USMS expansion project & upgrade project, and $100,000 court services expansion project.• Purchase Card Holder for the Judicial Security Unit, responsible for all credit card purchases up to $10k, as well as requesting funds for reimbursement of small and large projects over $10k.• Security consultant to the Courts, and liaison for the USMS, for a nation-wide multi-million-dollar USCH Hardening project to upgrade infrastructure against domestic terrorism and civil disturbances.• Rebuilt the access control system, coordinating with courts and USMS to register personnel for building access; designed & issued professional access cards; and developed a user SOP.• Researched, acquired, and installed an electronic key system for the management of all keys held by the USMS to include restricted electronic tracking of key checkout that greatly improved site security.• Initiated and served as SME for the installation of an Area-of-Refuge communication system in a high-rise courthouse, providing a means of communication for those trapped in an evacuation emergency.• Established relationships with building maintenance & management becoming the liaison between USMS and GSA for building/space maintenance needs, coordinating repairs and projects that concern security matters.
