The Systems Librarian/Instructor reports to the Library Director and provides leadership for planning, implementing, and managing library systems, digital services, and information technologies; cataloging department operations including the supervision of cataloging department staff; serves on a variety of internal and external committees; and provides staff technology training. The Systems Librarian/Instructor serves as liaison to one or more academic departments and serves as the Library’s LOUIS System Administrator.

Managed a team of twelve indexers in Bangalore India to ensure on time delivery of out-sourced indexing that met the customer's quality standards. Dramatically improved indexing quality through a combination of on-site training and individual feedback. Supported other Project Managers to complete tasks for their accounts including a project for Yellowbook USA.

Successfully helped start a new university library at one of the first co-educational universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Managed and supervised all technical services including administration of the Library Management System (Sirsi/Dynix Symphony). Created and edited all library documentation including policy manual, library brochure, user survey and analysis report, five-year strategic plan, and newsletters. Provided training in the use of electronic resources and provide general reference services. Assisted the Library Director in all aspects of running the library.

Provided authority control for all subject headings and names for the library's catalog and developed cataloging standards and procedures documentation. Cataloged internet resources.

Created a variety of instrument manuals, custom software application manuals, quick reference sheets, online help systems, and training documents. Provided customer technical support for environmental test chambers, programmer/controllers and software. Worked with engineering, customer support, and other departments, to ensure correct understanding of the product as well as the needs of the customer. Web master for Thermotron’s web site.

Part of team unifying several different controlled vocabularies into one consistent and unified thesaurus. Performed subject analysis of all new headings and all Religion, Science, and Technology headings. Provided off-site, part-time authority control of personal and corporate name headings (June 2000 to June 2002).
