Michael has been working in the construction industry since 1982. Upon graduating college he started his career at one of the largest General Contracting / Construction Management firms in New York City. As a result of his outstanding work ethics he quickly moved up the ranks from Assistant Superintendent to Project Manager and then Project Director building some of the most significant projects in the New York Tri-state area. In 2003 he became Vice President in charge of Sales and Marketing for a newly formed New York interior general contracting firm. He now owns and operates Verus Construction Services (VCS). VCS is currently providing construction services to some of the most prestigious companies in the world such as UBS, Vornado Realty Trust, CBS Broadcasting, Tishman Speyer, Edward J. Minskoff, and AIG to name a few.Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1961, Michael attended Saint Jude Grammar School, Nazareth Regional High School and New York City Technical College where he earned his degree in Construction Technology. The son of Italian immigrants, while in school, he worked in many fields to help the family achieve the “American Dream”. He is past Vice President of Ten East End Avenue Owners Inc., a member and past Vice President of the Knights of York children’s charity organization and a member of Tiro a Segno Italian Heritage Club. He is a proud supporter of World Wide Orphanage Foundation, The Evelyn Lauder Breast Cancer Research Foundation and American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.Michael has been married to his wife Janet since 1996. They have a daughter, born in February of 2002 and a son, born in December of 2003.They very happily live in Manhattan. Michael is a Jazz aficionado and loves to share music with his family and friends. In his own words “Sharing music with family and friends is one of my greatest joys”. His favorite pass time is spending time with his family visiting the many museums, parks and restaurants NYC has to offer.
