Restructured the existing finance and accounting team from 8 to 4 individuals, while still delivering timely month-end financials, monthly budget versus actuals, and updated corporate projections. Given additional responsibilities to manage the business operations team of 3 individuals (within 3 months) and the deal pricing team of 3 individuals (withing 6 months).Implemented new procedures to improve the accuracy of reporting and compliance on the existing $200M debt securitization.

Reali is a high growth, real estate company that leverages technology and innovative financing to allow consumers to sell their existing home, buy their new home, and finance their new home all through one single transaction, creating a true one-stop shop for consumers. Scaled staff from 50 to 500 and GAAP revenue from $6M (2019) to $250M (Q2’22 annualized). Raised $95M of venture equity and $25M of venture debt through 2 rounds. Raised $250M of innovative debt financing for cash offer products and $100M for home loans. Presented at board meetings and managed relationships with equity investors, venture debt provider and debt financing partners.Built the team from the ground up from 1 to 14 individuals across capital markets (equity and debt), financial planning and analysis, accounting and treasury management. Completed 2 real estate brokerage acquisitions that added 250 agents completing 1,000 transactions annually and scaled the acquisition of a mortgage bank to 2,000 transactions annually.Transferred from Veev (sister company with the same founder and CEO) to Reali in January 2020 and then promoted from VP of Finance to CFO of Reali in August 2020.

Led a team of 4 reporting directly to the 2 principals of the firm; responsible for fundraising, corporate financial and tax planning, fund level projections and treasury management. Raised $400M of institutional funds including $300M for equipment leasing funds and $100M for venture debt funds. Raised 2 credit facilities of $75M for equipment leasing funds and $10M for venture debt funds.

Tudou was the #2 online video portal in China (NASDAQ: TUDO). The company merged with the #1 player Youku in August 2012, which subsequently sold to Alibaba for $4B in April 2016. Led investor relations and reported to the CFO; hosted quarterly earnings calls, presented at conferences, and maintained relationships with investors and research analysts.Developed the key investment thesis to present to investors based on the company’s multi-year revenue growth from below-market ad rates and cost advantage from free, user generated content. Led diligence for strategic acquisitions of 2 media companies to accelerate the Company’s in-house content production strategy.

Marcus Food acquired the regional franchise rights to open Nathan’s Famous (NASDAQ: NATH) in China. The company raised $10M in Series A financing from U.S. investors.Managed 6 employees across finance, accounting and real estate. Implemented customized system to translate from Chinese language software to English language reports. Led real estate site selection and site development efforts, including negotiating 2 new sites at rents 35% below initial quote. Provided reports to Nathan’s Famous corporate and Series A investors reviewing company projections and build-out schedule, store-level projections, and store operation metrics.
