Compiled a comprehensive database integrating the Natural Resources Inventory (NRI), National Land Cover Data (NLCD), National Elevation Data (NED), and roads network identifying wetland persistence and transition to other land uses in the Southeastern U.S. Created a comprehensive data set linking NLCD, (NED), Breeding Bird Survey (BBS), and roads network projecting biodiversity response to changes in landscape condition. Created a data set using FIA used in deterministic and stochastic models to identify potential suitable habitat for the Ivory-billed woodpecker across its historic range.Provided programming and graphical support for national and regional trend analysis of habitats, non-game species populations, and game species populations and harvests to support the Renewable Resources Planning Act (RPA) decadal assessments and interim updates. Analyzed and mapped native forest-associated species, native forest-associated species at risk, distribution of forest-associated species at risk of losing genetic variation, and population trends of selected bird and tree species as a surrogate measure of genetic diversity. Quantified the biodiversity risk associated with predicted changes in habitat from global circulation models and dynamic vegetation models. Assisted in the development of an empirical model predicting county-level counts of threatened and endangered species, within the United States, as a function of climate, land use, economic development indicators and human populations.Programmed and analyzed NRI data of land use and land cover for habitat trends with upland game bird distribution and abundance patterns.
