As part of a small team, developed a web application to aid employee workflows. Included support for client services, ordering, media asset management and post-production, quality control, fulfillment, and invoicing. Used python with Django and MySQL on the backend, and HTML, CSS and javascript/jquery on the frontend. Configured and managed cloud-based hosting for this system in AWS using EC2, RDS and S3. To date, the system has been used to process over 65 million dollars worth of orders from clients.Designed and developed a long-running task system to handle media asset asset transfers among different storage tiers and delivery of assets to digital media platforms such as iTunes , Ultraviolet and Vimeo. Used python with celery and RabbitMQ. In coordination with IT dept, deployed this software stack to 10 worker servers, which continue to transfer approximately 60 TB per day on average, and have archived more than 10 PB of media assets to tier 2 storage over the lifetime of the system.

Designed and programmed a networked data entry system for service centers to handle job tickets, inventory tracking, point of sale, maintenance contracts, etc. Streamlined clerical work, improved inter-office communication, and was integral part of policy to reduce carried inventory. Used Python and PostgreSQL. Frontend also used GTK and Glade. Backend featured a multithreaded, scalable N-tier architecture.Designed and programmed a business intelligence system to take input from any number of data sources, manipulate it as needed, and produce output in many formats. Improved and standardized interactions between myriad data systems. Aided in high-level analysis which needed to mine data from many sources. Reduced employee labor in producing reports by several orders of magnitude. Used Python, XML, SSL, pooled worker process architecture.Designed and implemented several versions of the comserco.com website.
