I wish to apply for the mentioned job in your Company.I worked in Unicem for Approximately 6yrs. I rose from a weighbridge clerk to manage a whole state and the Depot in it with 2 staff. My duties as a weighbridge clerk included weighing in and out of trucks and documenting the weights and interpreting the data for management decision making. My duties as A Despatch Officer was to take charge of all the staff working within the shifts and coordinate all the activities of Despatch Supervisors, Transport Supervisors, Weighbridge Clerks and other attendants working with the mentioned persons within the shifts. My duties as an Area Sales Executive or Area Sales Manager was to take charge of the entire state - servicing customers' needs and demands, taking and supplying their orders, taking care of Transporters to ensure that their fleets load and discharge on time. I was also to ensure that the warehouse at the depot was properly stocked adopting FIFO to avoid out of stock situations. I was equally to scout for new customers while mentaining the existing ones. I was also to properly document activities at the depot and advise management accordingly. I was also in charge of training incoming staff - a total of 40 plus. As Officer in charge of training, i was involved in the selection of and training of new staff into the marketing department. As a union member, i represented the staff during meaningful dialoque with management. We proffered a platform for peace to reign during discussions and negotiations.I am presently working with Cross River Internal Revenue Service as Head of Modernisation.I will be grateful if my appplication is granted and am called upon for an interview.
