-Verifies and processes PO, IV, and narcotic orders for LTC and nursing home facilities to provide various medication therapies, treating both acute and chronic medical conditions.-Calls and talks with nurses and physicians in regards to clarifying and completing orders so that patients receive therapies compliant with both state and federal pharmacy regulations and therapies are supported through evidence based medicine -Inspects the accuracy of medications from varying manufacturers and numerous orders in order to maintain high standards of accuracy, while minimizing any risk for medication errors.

-Calls and converses with doctors, nurses, and patients regarding appropriate dosing, compliance, and side effects to maintain proper medication therapy management of retail and specialty drugs.-Verifies both new prescriptions and refills and orders medications daily through CPR Plus.-Manages both patient initial assessments and reassesments covering Hepatitis B and C, HIV, Dermatology, and Gastroenterology disease states to assure proper compliance and create appropriate care plans for curing diseases on improving patient quality of life.-Handles requests for employee scheduling, paid time off (vacation, sick time, etc.), and inventory management on a daily basis to maintain high efficiency in the pharmacy.-Runs and oversees the day to day operations of the pharmacy by informing both technicians and patient care coordinators of new policies within the company and furthering to improve the company with expanded business and increased prescription volume.

-Called and talked with both homecare patients and nurses regarding appropriate IV therapies and nursing supplies and processes both new and existing orders through the CPRPlus system.-Handled requests for scheduling, paid time off (vacation, sick time, etc.), and payroll on a bimonthly basis so that records are maintained and kept up to date.-Ran the day to day operations of the pharmacy by informing both pharmacists and technicians of new policies within the company and addressing internal and external issues that affect both employee and patient quality of life.-Verified and processes IV orders for LTC and nursing home facilities to provide various medication therapies, including hydration, antibiotic, pain management, and TPN therapies.-Called and talked with nurses and physicians in regards to completing and refaxing prescription orders so that infusion forms are complete and deliveries are made in a timely manner.-Inspected emergency kits and grey boxes so that nursing facilities have backup and emergency supplies on a daily basis.

-Evaluated patient medication profiles to determine appropriate medication therapies and prevented medication duplications to minimize polypharmacy.-Resolved insurance issues so patients can purchase their medications at affordable prices and similar insurance problems will not reoccur.-Processed a variety of prescriptions with the correct medications, quantities, and directions for patients to easily understand.
