I was one of five Directors on the Board of my local water district, a $500M enterprise delivering clean drinking water to 55,000 people 24x7. The six year highlight: Helping launch a community-wide effort to determine the best way to improve our water, leading to a bond issue and culminating in a new $61M water treatment plant. I was awarded the District's DROP award at my last meeting. It really was an honor being a Director. Having a great team at SACW&SD made it a lot easier! They made us look brilliant :)

I launched a conference series to explore the intersection of innovation and the public sector. Ran numerous events, including two conferences. The second conference in Sept 2020 was a hybrid event. As a one man show, I did everything, from creating the marketing materials to booking the speakers to making sure the stage was set up and ready to go. Learned a tremendous amount. Failed to generate enough revenue to make it profitable. I booked the schedule for our monster truck, The Veteran, and scheduled and managed staff. I also sold sponsorships. I worked the booth at events leading all staff. When I learned Commerce City had never had a Chamber of Commerce, I set out to fix it. I signed up 100 businesses in 100 days. So they hired me to continue growing membership. In a little over 2 years, from nothing, I built a Chamber with over 160 members and over $25,000 in reserves.

With a four year stint as an Internal Wholesaler with Transamerica Capital from 2006-2010. Sold annuities for half those years, mutual funds for the other 2 years.
