About Michael Scarlett

I am a software engineer who works on world-class infrastructure for simple, scalable storage APIs in cloud applications. My recent experience is in distributed systems, networking, storage, and backend design - although I am a quick learner with broad interests and superb problem solving skills. I have also worked with Google's WebRTC team to support the QUIC protocol for low-latency connections.Before joining Google I worked at InSilico Medicine, a biotech startup in Baltimore, to develop a data integration pipeline to assist researchers with in silico drug discovery and populate a database of potential drug-gene associations.In my free time I also develop Android apps for my own Play Store account and compete in Kaggle machine learning competitions.
