Michael led the Process Excellence Organization within the US Personal Bank (USPB). In this role he had responsibility over process mapping, business process improvement, and Lean team as part of the program that Citi had set up in response to their 2020 Consent Order.

Michael was a Managing Director in EY's Financial Services Office where he created the Process Excellence practice which was focused on defining a process-based framework to bring innovative solutions to a diverse set of client challenges. Michael’s performance was measured on sales, revenue managed, and client satisfaction for which he excelled in all measures.

Led the SOA development group in the Wholesale Banking Technology group for a top 5 commercial bank. Focus in this area was on expanding and transforming the global payment capability, as well as simplifying the middleware environment, while driving innovation in the development and delivery process. Responsibilities included:o Leading end to end software development in support of infrastructure and line of business driven initiatives.o Engineering, this included overall platform vision and technical road map. Areas of ownership included application architecture, infrastructure architecture, environment management, quality assurance and capacity management.o Managing global delivery and development staff of up to 150 (associates and contractors

As a senior manager, I was responsible for delivering client value while driving transformational system integration programs. My demonstrated skills included technology architecture, SOA, global workforce management, business case development / management. Select engagements included:• Led the middleware simplification transformation program for the retail bank at a top 5 US bank. This initiative focused on retiring 25 middleware applications and migrating their services to a strategic platform. This initiative substantially simplified the operating environment while delivering over $40 million in yearly TCO saves.• Led the delivery of a Loan Servicing eCommerce solution at a top US mortgage provider. This solution delivered more customer features, reduced loan servicing operational costs by driving customer contacts to a lower cost channel, and drove new business through cross selling.• Architected the delivery of a Loan Consultant Dashboard at a top US mortgage provider. Defined the application architecture which included several vendor integration points, single sign-on, security, and application development standards. Also defined the technical architecture which includes hosting, platform definition, and operational procedures.
