At Lithium, I was responsible for Go-To-Market strategy and analysis, product marketing, demand generation, sales development, field marketing, and global marketing efforts during a period of rapid company growth.

Ran a global sales team of 14 high-caliber individuals in what we called Solution Design. Partnering with traditional field sales, the Solution Design team was comprised of subject matter experts who combined analytical skills, domain knowledge, and sales acumen. The charter was to earn the trust of prospects, engage in a mini-consulting project in the sales process called the Service Performance Analysis that provided benchmarking and deep analysis of the prospect's revenue from existing customers, and then build a business case for a pay-for-performance partnership where ServiceSource would share in a portion of the upside revenue that could be captured. Don't be fooled by the name, this team was comprised of sales professionals - we carried a quota and hit our number every year I was there. This team was instrumental in growing the company to revenue north of $200M and a successful IPO.

Joined the marketing team as the company was defining a new market to help high-tech companies get more revenue from existing customers. Developed the initial go-to-market strategy for the software vertical, including segmentation and account prioritization, messaging, and a demand generation plan. Worked closely on defining the right sales process and spent a lot of time in the field with prospects and customers, leading to the CEO asking me to join the sales organization in 2009.
