Michael is the president of the Allentown Film Festival, an annual event that takes place in April at the Civic Theatre of Allentown's two historic venues, the Allentown Art Museum, Miller Symphony Hall, The Downtown Allentown Market, and other iconic landmarks in Pennsylvania's third-largest city. At the April 2023 Festival, over 150 films from around the world were screened - half from local filmmakers. Film submissions accepted at FilmFreeway.Before moving to Pennsylvania in 2020, Michael developed and executive produced numerous television series including "MANswers" on Spike TV, "Blais Off" on Discovery Science, "Viking: the Ultimate Obstacle Course" on ESPN, "Reinventing the Meal" on Cooking Channel, and "SUPERCHEF KIDS," a Telly Award-winning web series sponsored by P&G’s Bounty. Michael was a senior producer of "CHA$E" on the SciFi Channel. He created, developed, and executive produced "TILT 23 ½," an 86-episode reality TV series that was sold in over 120 countries. Michael introduced "Iron Chef" to the Food Network and has managed international news-sharing partnerships with ABC News, CBS News, and CNN.Previously, Michael appeared on what was Japan's top-rated television network, Fuji TV, as a reporter for programs including "Naruhodo! The World" and "Deta Mono Shobu!" He was an on-air commentator at the Atlanta Olympics.Michael is also the president and CEO of Tidal Lock Media, Inc., which produces and distributes documentary films. TidalLockMedia.com. In 2022, the company completed BROKE(N), an 88-minute film that offers a revealing look at the challenges everyday Americans face in a world of stagnant wages, increasing inflation, and unpredictable government aid. Set in Allentown, Pennsylvania, BROKE(N) introduces a diverse group of a dozen individuals chosen at random who discuss in intimate detail their finances and their experiences with low-wage jobs, skyrocketing student debt, the dysfunctional healthcare system, and housing insecurity.
