CurrentF/A-18 A-D Hornet; F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet; E/A-18G Growler• Landing Gear Hydraulics Team Lead for all F/A-18 landing gear hydraulics components and system level integration. • First engineer chosen by leadership for off-site troubleshooting, and failure investigations pertaining to landing gear hydraulics; Performed troubleshooting/investigations at NAS Fallon, NAS Lemoore, NAS Jacksonville, MCAS Miramar, and Anderson AFB Guam.• Basic Design Engineer Approval Authority for item criticality determination, repair procedures, and stress analysis calculations.• Authored technical engineering instructions for the repairing, troubleshooting, and overhauling of flight controls, landing gear, and hydraulic components to be performed by fleet maintainers on aircraft and artisans at overhaul repair facilities.• Investigated failed landing gear and flight controls components to determine the root cause of the failure, as well as, provided corrective and mitigating actions to the fleet. • Troubleshot landing gear rigging and hydraulic issues on aircraft and provided component level troubleshooting for the overhaul and testing of landing gear hydraulic components. • Communicated engineering recommendations to the Navy Program office through decision briefs that outlined risk, repair, and/or mitigating strategies. • Analyzed and reviewed the stress analysis margin of safeties and fatigue life damage ratios for landing gear structural component repair requests and for the F/A-18 Service Life Extension Program.• Approved/disapproved vendors to manufacture landing gear components by reviewing the manufacturing capabilities, procedures, and certifications of Navy vendors.• Collaborated effectively with engineers, vendors, fleet maintainers, artisans, squadron maintenance officers, and program managers to achieve program objectives.
