The scope of this project (called AMS/2) was to enhance the existing trading floor-based Automated Matching System to provide concurrent off-floor trading capability in the members’ offices. This involved a substantial redesign of the system front end, both within the Tandem host application and the trader workstations, including integration of the sp/Architect message switch package. My primary role involved responsibility for all aspects of the Tandem host application design, but secondary functions included system support, system performance analysis and migration from development to production. The system was successfully implemented in February 1996.
