Empowered global marketing teams to understand the effectiveness of their work, using using high-impact deep linking and attribution journeys that were key to Nike's success in a brave new world. Crafted a vision to lead dozens of teams to implement Mobile Measurement Platforms (MMPs), our work fueled the highest value actions and destinations that drove growth across the marketing ecosystem. Our Martech platform supercharged global growth by weaving localization and adaptation across the fabric of all our capabilities.

We jumped into the deep end and rolled our own CMS! As a chief evangelist for content as a service, our vision not only won over teams internally at Nike, but delivered global, personalized, consumer-anywhere experiences throughout the content ecosystem. The tooling we built was designed to be fast, on-brand, and lovable by over 1,000 content authors around the world.

Leading the customization effort for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), I managed a team of product owners who electrified Nike's storytelling capabilities across Nike.com and the SNKRS app. Creating the Nike Style Guide API, we provided a one-stop shop for fonts, typography, colors, icons, and more, enabling new experiences to be built faster, with brand consistency. Our localization and approval workflows simplified the content lifecycle, and enabled Nike to expand its digital footprint across the globe.

Led the efforts to enhance and more effectively expand localization and the translation workflow processes for web authors across the globe. Dedicated to delivering Agile stories to scrum teams that quickly transform into real results for our customers.

Led business and IT teams to ensure timely delivery of software projects enterprise wide. Selected and implemented a SaaS platform to manage $30M in contract marketing spend. As a database developer for Oracle and SQL Server, I provided analysis on all aspects of reporting and business intelligence to manage $500M in sales. Created the standard for corporate data synchronization strategies, including Retail and Foodservice GS1 initiatives.A few moments from this role that really stood out are…• A group of developers that were tackling new reports asked, "Some of our farmers want to use our reports out in the field. How can we distribute reports to them when all they have is a phone or iPad on them?"• Another developer told me, "I'm behind on my project and am worried. I know some of the work that needs to be done, but I don't know all of it. How can I estimate the amount of work that remains so that our stakeholders aren't so upset with me?"

Managed and optimized a data warehouse that was essential to the growth of our business. Developed applications and interfaces for administrators who organized promotions and incentive contracts based on sales performance. I also coached customer service and sales management teams to transition into knowledge workers, building their confidence to create, distribute, and present information that was easy to use, and effective to understand.Two of my favorite memories from this role include…• The day Punch Card Faye (one of the original punched card operators) exclaimed from her desk, "MICHAEL! I built my first report in Oracle today, come check it out!"• Being summoned to a full boardroom and told, "We’re in danger of losing a $20M contract if we can't figure out how to take their orders and share performance reports with them. Can we have a solution defined by the end of the week?"
