CurrentResponsibilities include executing new and existing protocols used for the validation of departmental equipment and novel procedures. These efforts provide support to Bausch and Lomb departments worldwide and encompass a variety of projects. Familiar with the operation of the Kay Validator system and supporting software.Fluent with the OPA protein detection assay. Fluent in the use of the Lambda 4b Spectrophotometer.Responsible for routine maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment. Represent Bausch & Lomb on several AAMI working groups. Represent the Microbiology Department at project meetings including the organization of field clinical trials, especially to support Japan submissions.Knowledgeable in the use of the tabletop sterilizers, industrial dishwashers, and BIER vessels and Pulsed Light SystemsCompleted an AAMI course in Industrial Sterilization for Medical Devices. Fluent in equipment and process validation Proficient in Regimen and Biocidal testingProficient in Preservative Free Multi Dose screen testingProficient in the preparation of Organic SoilDepartment Representative on the company Safety CommitteeResponsible for cleaning and disinfection validations of surgical instrumentsProficient in Bioburden testing of novel research solutionsExtensive experience in using the Chemunex Scan RDI Bacterial detection systemExperienced in evaluating rapid microbiology instrumentsExperienced in Acanthamoeba propagation and testingProficient in growing and preservation of bacteria and protozoaTrained in CATSWEB Nonconformance TrackingProficient in Total Organic Carbon testing
