Hi! I'm Michael! I am a senior Computer Science student at Clemson University, passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Aerospace, and the Automotive Industry. The majority of my time here at Clemson has been spent working on undergraduate research projects, notably a Langmuir Probe which launched with NASA's RockSat-X program in 2024, and an EV battery as a part of the Battery Workforce Challenge sponsored by Stellantis and the US DoE. Currently as a co-op at Aeronix, my role as an Embedded Systems Engineer involves integrating C++ and Python applications into aerospace innovations, as well as developing a company wide build environment that (at its heart) leverages Docker containers stood up with a custom Linux Kernel built using Yocto Project. On top of this embedded Linux kernel, I’ve worked to develop a live webpage in JavaScript, which involved managing hardware interrupts and low level API code to drive system state changes. Kicking off our second project, my tasks currently entail establishing the box’s framework task manager in RTOS, and it’s bootloader.In my personal life, I am an ambitious programmer. I seek out software projects that not only teach me about industry standards such as Weights & Biases or AWS Cloud Services, but also improve my own day to day efficiency. I'm always happy to chat!
