These three powerful words are the core values of a United States Marine. They also describe my dear friend and former colleague, Michael Schrader, to a tee. I did not know Michael personally before working with him. I knew "of" him because he had been a mentor to many in our community. It wasn't until we worked together that I began to glimpse the fuller picture of who Michael is: a thoughtful, honest, hard-working dude who is always prepared and enthusiastic about getting the job done, even if the job changes on a day-to-day basis. Although we only worked together for a year, he made an impression on me that will last a lifetime. I may have taught him a few things about marketing, but he taught me even greater life lessons about loyalty, unselfishness, judgment, and tact that I continue to use to make better choices in my work and family life. Michael is a soldier. He finds a way to mesh with every team member and rises up to any challenge, no matter how great. He is a talented writer, technical support superman, a righteous researcher, and a social media social butterfly. I would wholeheartedly recommend Michael for any job, without even knowing what the responsibilities are. That may sound unprofessional or downright lazy. But I mean it. With the right attitude, there is nothing you can't accomplish. I know this to be true because Michael proved it to me again and again, 5-days a week for a year."
