Michael A. Schrag is currently working at Ultra Maritime as a Senior Software Engineer where he works on a multi-discipline team to develop Sonobuoys for National and International defense efforts.In addition to his professional career, Michael enjoys singing in several local choral ensembels such as the St. Joseph Valley Camerata.He earned his degree at Valparaiso University where graduated with a BS in Computer Engineering while simultaneously taking voice lessons with Dr. Christopher Cock and being involved in several extra-curricular activities. These included Valparaiso University Robotics Team (which was highly place in the Jerry Sanders Design Competition), IEEE, Phi Mu Alpha (a music Fraternity devoted to advancing music in America), Valparaiso University Choral (an advanced, mixed, music ensemble), VuVox (a male A Capella group), and Hooked on Tonics (a mixed A Capella group). His classes worked with MATLAB, OrCAD, PSpice, LabVIEW, Quartus II, and Logic Friday/ Minilog among other software, and the main programming languages taught were C and Java. For a senior design project, his team successfully built a Vertical Wind tunnel to be used in labs to demonstrate and teach control systems.All of these activities have left Michael with an influence of technical and creative ability that demonstrates unique skill and creates success with whatever project he sets his mind to.
