Transformed an ecosystem of microservice based around ECS to a spot-based EKS hypercluster across multiple regions and accounts, reducing inter-service communication latency and cost by up to 80%.Redesigned the CI/CD pipelines and architecture, reducing deployment times by 85% and moving to Kubernetes-based runners backed by spot instances, improving build times by 20-30% and greatly improving reliability and reproducibility while keeping costs almost trivially low.Moved all servers under my ownership to cattle, removing the need for manual patching and system updates, reducing the time it takes to manage the build and security fleet.Migrated secret management to Hashicorp Vault for improved security posture, ease of secret deployments and reducing credential sprawl.

Successfully lead three teams of remote consultants and employees that developed and maintained multiple personnel security applications. Ported a framework I had previously created in C# to Java which allows for parsing of multiple message formats from multiple internal systems to a singular format (XML) for consumption by the application. This parser now exists in multiple applications, one of which handles upwards of eight million messages per day from multiple formats in a single instance.Assisted in the creation, design, and programming of a new database which is capable of handling over 100 million transactions per day, and is expected to do so by 2015.Created and maintained many SSRS 2012 reports for the database created for this project.Utilizing my knowledge and experience with general programming techniques, greatly assisted in the design of the Java application wrapping the database as well as assisted in general coding/reviews. Using skills in C#, Microsoft Transact-SQL, created a framework that allows for parsing of multiple message formats from multiple internal systems to a singular format (Xml) for consumption by the application. Utilizing skills in C#, Threading, Thread Pooling in C#, and C# Multithreading practices, created a component which allows for the use of multiple, parallel connections to an internal legacy internal system for increased efficiency.Using skills in C#, networking protocols in C#, and the WCF Framework, created and maintained multiple interfaces to internal components within UPS, allowing for the application to communicate and employ the web interface capabilities provided by these systems. By taking advantage of skills with the Windows Installer, Microsoft services, C#, Microsoft Transact-SQL, and Xml, created an application which automatically parses through the log files created by the application daily, and allows for easy retrieval of issues which may arise.
